Tho' sunny when we left town, by the time we arrived in the city and were inside the Boat House at Forest Park it poured. About fifteen minutes later, a trio of wet bedraggled boaters docked in the still sprinkling twi-lite. Good food, too crowded at an outside table but service was excellent. Bot Ann and Ellen received free $15 coupons to rent boats good for a year and the food was inexpensive and tasty. Great salads, good variety!
A perfect Thrift Shop find that Ann written all over it. A tray in her outdoor room colors made in Italy. I think she liked it as much as I did.
After dinner we listened to the jazz band shortly before heading for the fountains below the Art Museum. The paths proved too wet and slimy so we stayed on the plaza.
Ellen loved her Thomas Kincaid Tea Kettle modeled after one of his village homes. It seemed destined to wind up in her house.
